      Hey All – just need some encouragement. I posted a week ago that I was struggling with sleep again after at least 2 years of good sleep. I’ve been through CBT-I before and know the techniques. But stupidly, I took meds instead of just letting it go and ignoring it. Feeling like I’m back to square one. I know I’m not and I just need to be brave and implement techniques. Anyone else go through periods like this after CBTi? 🙁

        Alexis,

        It’s not unusual to experience temporary setbacks after restoring your sleep but if poor sleep consistently continues it’s usually for the same reasons the original time – we’ve changed our thoughts and behaviors toward our sleep. Since you were able to overcome insomnia 2 years ago using CBT-I, what’s preventing you from exploring those same techniques this time?

        On your previous post, you mentioned that you were in an anxiety loop. Can you possibly expand on that further?
