      Hello, my name is Jillian and I’ve been struggling with insomnia on and off for a couple of years. It started with a health issue and the anxiety of getting well. I have some guilt and shame I’m trying to work through since it is affected my mood and my family. I understand the concept of letting go and accepting insomnia but it’s really hard to do in practice.

        Guilt and shame can be really difficult feelings to deal with and often show up when we are being hard on ourselves. Are you continuing to struggle with those feelings? If so, how might you practice being a bit kinder to yourself, do you think?

        It can be hard to understand the concept of letting go and accepting insomnia — and, without a clear understanding, it sure can be hard to put into practice!
