      I have had insomnia on and off for most of my life, at least 25+ years. My biggest challenge is actually falling asleep which I believe is due to hyper arousal triggered by worrying about sleep. I think if I could find a way not to give sleep do much worry and attention, I could overcome these challenges.

        The key isn’t to find a way to not give insomnia too much attention. On the contrary, it is allowing these thoughts some space to exist, but attaching a lot less meaning to them because they mean nothing to you anymore.
