      My girlfriend recommended me to this forum. I get anxious about sleep before and during the working week. I’ll only get a few hours per night at the height and it’s really making me question my teaching profession. As soon as it hits Friday and Saturday night there isn’t an issue, then the loop starts on Sunday night. It’s purely psychological and I feel like I’ve tried everything just short of sleeping tablets, but I have them in my drawer and it’s getting to the point where I feel like I no other options, but of course with that comes the addictive side.
      Sleep masks and ear buds did work for a while but and I’d recommend these to anyone who hasn’t tried them. Melatonin gummies had no effect but a lot of people I’ve spoken to have really good experience with them.

        It sounds as though your struggle could be caused by the effort you might be putting into making sleep happen or trying to fight or avoid nighttime wakefulness. Would you say that’s accurate? If so, what do you think might be a helpful way to address that?
