I'm not going to let it drag me down! My current motto is to think positive. I'm not sure how long it will hold, but you have to keep trying right!
I actually had my dreamjob. I was a graphic designer, but there's no part-time work in it for now. Right now I'm thinking I might try some administration work.
We'll see how it goes.
About the tomatoes, I would send you some but by the time they reach you I gues they won't be very edible. By the way, we didn't consider rabbits either, untill it was too late. That's a nice lesson for next year.

- Hopefully sometime within the next couple of months I'll have an iPad2 which will be ideal with the amount of hospital stays I have had of late…as much as it's great having my iPhone, watching movies on it can be a strain!![*]Been adding more CDs to my Iron Maiden collection…and now have the entire UK back catalog of albums…well, until next week when they release another album![*]Been watching a couple of series on BluRay….The Walking Dead and Spartacus: Blood & Sand, both really good series, really enjoying them so far.
Bad Times
- [*]Blood tests…way too many of them of late, and I REEEEAAAALLLLLLY do not like needles![*]Consultants and still not totally certain what is wrong with me…so much so that the head of medical services (and my cardiologist) said that “one of the problems is that madically…you're odd”[*]Family stress is driving me around the bend…add that to the worry of many hospital appointments, it sure doesn't help me with my sleep…which is currently broken to say the least.

- I got hold of some video eyewear! It's like watching a video on a 42″ screen which is pretty cool….and it means that I can take this screen on the move or outdoors when I hook up my iPhone. They can also currently connect to anything with a composite output, but I can buy additional leads to connect it to other things as well, which I plan to do at a later stage.[*]I've added the Predator trilogy on BluRay to my movie collection (which also had digital downloads for iTunes, yay!!)…it was a gift to myself on my birthday. I also got hold of Torchwood season one on BluRay which was pretty cool….oh yeah and I downloaded the very funny Zombieland from iTunes last night!![*]Got some great CDs this week….Gorillaz by Gorillaz, Somewhere Else In Time by Iron Maiden, Minutes To Midnight (Tour Edition) by Linkin Park, The Fall by Gorillaz and the HMV Exclusive version of A Thousand Suns by Linkin Park….I do like my music!![*]I'm posting a parcel to a good friend in the US next week…it oneof those “I do this because I can” moments…she is a lovely lady and I wanted to send her something to make her smile.[*]Despite it feeling like everything is all crashing around me and I feel absolutely helpless to do anything about it…I am still smiling, and still have to laugh…after all, it could always be worse, right guys??
BAD TIMES
- [*]The video eyewear isn't compatible with the 3D signal from a PS3 as there is a complication…so sadly I currently cannot watch digital 3D movies on them.[*]My doctor has told me to avoid as much stress as possible, which means next week I'll not see my family at all.[*]Warfrin levels are screwing up all the time…and the ever increasing levels of an anticoagulant scares me somewhat…
June 23, 2011 at 10:34 am #9510BAD TIMES
- I've been that tired I've been a tad snappy…not sure if I've been like that here at all (people told me I've been snarky) but apologise if I have.[*]Our TV died!![*]I've run out of not just Cheetos…but Skittles!!! I need to get some Skittles tomorrow 😎
GOOD TIMES
- Because our TV died, we now have a nice sparkly new 42″ HDTV! I now need to get some HDMI cables for my PS3 and DVD player!![*]My warfrin levels seem to be finally levelling out, although I'm not sure how long that will last…[*]I am starting a new medication to help me with weight loss, it is a metabolism booster and also makes you think you are full after eating a little as well as supressing my appetite…I really hope this works as the weight loss issues I have are frustrating to say the least!

How do you like them? I've heard that they can give you motion sickness? Do you have a link to them on Amazon or anything? I'd love to hear more.

June 24, 2011 at 7:23 am #9512I think they are pretty cool, and great if I want to watch a movie and flatmate is watching something on TV. No signs of motion sickness currently. Watched Predator, Zombieland and others which has been pretty cool.
Here's a link to the Vuzix site (they make them) for the set I own, you can buy directly from them too, but I bought mine from a UK gadget stare called Firebox who ship to the US as well.August 13, 2011 at 11:40 am #9513Good Times
- If everything goes according to plan, by the end of the month I'll have an iPad2!! I was hoping to get one earlier but the Bill Fairy seems to have been epically generous the last few months.[*]I have sold a shedload (no not literally, although it was quite a few) of DVDs BluRays and games…this means more space at Yam Towers…and funds toward my new iPad2!![*]Been eating some lovely stuff from the US the last couple of weeks…and last night had some Ricearoni, which was surprisingly good! If only they sold Cheetos in big bags, then my life would be complete…well almost lol[*]Bought several movies from iTunes UK, US and Canada including The Goonies, The Eagle, Jennifer's Body, Skinwalkers and Mortal Kombat….I will be buying most of my movies digitally from now to save physical space.[*]Bought the deluxe edition of the Batman graphic novel “The Killing Joke”….if you are a fan of Batman and you have not heard of this…where the heck have you been? A must read graphic novel and in my humble opinion up there with the likes of Watchmen.[*]I'm on new medication for my diabetes…and it's working well after a few days!
Bad Times
- There is one file from iTunes Canada that has been downloading for roughly 13 hours now….and only 96.2 Mb of 2.2Gb (that's over 2000 Mb in case you are wondering!!) has downloaded….damn this is epically slow!![*]Headaches have ramped up a notch….ouch.[*]Concentration been a little screwy…the joys of family and medical stresses ongoing…all good fun!
August 16, 2011 at 6:47 pm #9514Good choice on The Goonies! You know I live just down the road from where that was filmed, right?

http://twitpic.com/68bvk6 those bags are HUGE!!
August 19, 2011 at 7:40 pm #9517Hey, glad they turned up safe and sound. You'll notice some tape on one of the bags – it got punctured when unpacking so I quickly taped it up. You might want to eat those ones first!!

- To be honest, not very much, although I guess I should be happy to be alive.
BAD TIMES
- I've been too close to death way too many times…this year has barely started and I've almost died twice.[*]I am in huge amounts of pain…and because of that sleep is a very illusive mistress.
I really hope people are doing a lot better than I.

– Classes are going well. I seem to have a nack for administration.
– We finally set a date for our marriage. It's gonna be in september.
BAD TIMES
– Since I'm technically still on sick leave (it's about 14 months now), my sickness benefit went way down.
– I'm so tired.
– I can't find a job, it's hard in this economic climate. Recession is hitting hard in Europe, but I guess it's no different elsewhere.
– I'm really, really tired.
– Next to the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, I'm also 'blessed' with Fibromyalgia.
– I want to exercies but everything hurts.
– Did I mention I'm tired? Exhausted? Beat?
– I need sleep!
Dark times ahead. It's getting harder and harder to find a silver lining lately.

You'll pull through, Yam – I have no doubts whatsoever.

Have you every thought about freelancing or self employment? Could be worth a shot.
