I am a SAHM who homeschools my only child, so my main concern with my insomnia is the possibility that my son might develop this problem. It runs in my family, but I seem to be the most extreme case.

Rather than fight it, I have decided to make use of my sleepless nights by doing housework, reading — whatever, which frees up lots of time during the day to spend with my son.

      Later,

      Ursula

Nice to meet you, Ursula! I have been a SAHM for much of my kids lives, but I'm on the job hunt right now. <_< Looking forward to seeing you around!

Welcome to the group, Ursula and thanks for introducing yourself.

Have you done any research into whether insomnia is hereditary? I wonder if there have been any peer-reviewed studies that came to a conclusion one way or another.

What made you decide to home school your children? That's a big decision to make – I admire that.

Oh, and Lindsay – if you get a job, make sure it doesn't affect the amount of time you spend here! 😉

Hi Ursula! Nice to meet you! Do you like home schooling? I was homeschooled for a little while. I liked spending more time with my mom! How old is your son?

We have a long list of reasons for homeschooling, but the top three are:

              1) we travel a lot

              2) my son loves learning 9especially hands-on stuff, ex: gardening)

              3) he's an only child, and is growing up too fast as it is LOL

I was an English tutor before I had my son. I worked for Sylvan, and also worked privately.
