After a poor night’s sleep I wake up with a heavy head and ache on top of neck. This makes me want to lie down and rest my head all day. I have tried painkillers which don’t really help and was wondering if anyone has these symptoms and what they do to get through the day.

This happens once or twice a week whenever I sleep poorly. I haven’t been to the Gp as don’t think they will be able to help. Just wondered if this is normal.

Have you experienced these symptoms after a good night of sleep, or do they only ever happen after a bad night of sleep?

The symptoms only happen when I have a bad night so I assume must be linked to insomnia. I could mention it to the Gp if you think I should.

If it’s something you are concerned about, you should mention it to your GP.
