      Hi, i have been having issues with insomnia for 6 months since i become ill with a chest infection. It’s changed over the last six months. At first i would wake coughing at 3am and not get back to sleep. I started keeping a diary since 1st May i have had 5 days with no sleep. I was quite shocked by this and it made me want to act to get some help as it was so hard the next day. I don’t want to go to the doctor and get sleeping tablets. So i read about CBTI this weekend and how it can help. I also managed to find a CBT coach based near me and i have signed up for some initial talks next Saturday. I want to see if this coach/ councillor and see if this will work for me. He shows insomnia as one of his listed areas to help.
      I listened to 2 of the podcasts this weekend and they really helped me. It’s good to hear other people have the same worries/ stresses. I will listen to some more of them.
      I love reading before going to bed. It’s my real way to relax. I meditate 20 minutes every day which helps me a lot.
      I am really looking forward to getting my sleep back on track. I will never take it for granted again as i did for so many years.

        Although five days with no sleep can be quite concerning, this also means that you have experienced far more nights with sleep than without sleep!
