Forgot to introduce myself! I'm 33 year old woman cabin crew living in the UK desperate to sleep. You may say my job is to blame… But I've been flying for 7 years and I've been insomniac for 3 years. I slept fine through the jet lag and tiredness up until 3 years ago. Others might say the split from my husband is to blame for my insomnia… Well it was my choice to leave and I've been so much happier since I got away from him.

Unless your an insomniac then you'll never understand. My social life is non existent because I'm tired all the time!

Helpful to know I'm not the only zombie out there!

Welcome to the forums! How on earth do you cope with being a cabin crew in this day and age. Any special tips for coping with the jet lag for us normal folk? I know what you mean about feeling tired all the time. Hopefully the forums will help you.

If I knew I'd be doing it myself.. Switching straight to local time seems to work for my friends. And going to sleep at a normal time rather then napping helps other. For me nothing!!

            Welcome to Insomnia Land 🙂

You know I could never sleep on flights but the last couple of times I managed to grab some shuteye and impressed myself – that's even without those fancy noise canceling headphone thingies!

It's good to have you here; I am sure you'll find plenty of insomnia tips and advice in the forums and at the very least you'll discover that you're not suffering alone.

Keep in touch and I look forward to reading more of your posts and getting to know you better.

Do you work shifts? I am a shift worker and Im convinced that is to blame for my insomnia. Maybe your sleep started off ok until they had you working odd hours and then it hit? Just an idea.
