HI, I am Michelle. I am a full time student majoring in chemistry/pre-pharmacy. I have been diagnosed with three types of chronic insomnia, 2 of which are most likely related to my additional diagnosis of both lupus and fibromyalgia. I have dealt with the insomnia for most of my life (I'm 36) and have ALOT of practice with different ways of coping with it. I am a HUGE sports fan- NFL, college football & basketball (along w/ any sport my Louisville Cardinals are playing that day…especially if they are playing Kentucky or West Virginia!). I love going to baseball games when the weather is nice- especially our local Triple A team, The Louisville Bats or their parent club, the Cincinatti Reds 🙂

I have 5 nephews & LOVE being an aunt…especially to 2 year old Michael…..& I have 3 dogs….the one that's really my baby though is my 9 yr old Pit, Dillon. He's a couch potato & the world's biggest fraidy dog!

Things are slightly insane right now with finishing up the last couple of weeks of the semester and getting ready for a trip to D.C. at the end of the month to be part of a Lupus Patient Advisory Board but I will try to pop in as much as possible & should be much more active (especially at night when I can't sleep!) as soon as finals are done.

Looking forward to chatting with ya'll!

Nice to meet you! I love NFL, too. Can't wait for the season to start back up.

I am working on my pre-reqs for pharmacy school…..assuming I survive the end of the semester. The one thing the insomnia is good for is studying and doing research. I think I am nocturnal by nature because I seem to work better and get more done at night than I ever do durring daylight hours. lol

I've often noticed the correlation between insomnia and their productivity at night. At least, that's “one” good thing about insomnia. My productivity varies…but I'm generally, oddly enough, most creative & productive when I wake up & the afternoon, not so much at night.
