Hi, everyone. I'm new to the forum and only recently signed up to Martin's emails. I live in North Yorkshire, England and have slept badly for as long as I can remember (I'm 59)so I'm hoping things may improve! I've been married for 38 years and have three grown up children, two living in London and one in Durham. I often wonder if my insomnia goes back to listening for them in the night when they were little (or not so little and getting home in the early hours!). I don't tend to have trouble getting to sleep but wake up repeatedly in the night and have trouble getting back to sleep.

My interests are gardening and singing in a local choir, and we are currently planning a move to the Scottish borders though we haven't sold our house yet- probably another thing guaranteed to bring sleepless nights!

I'm already finding the “no clocks”rule is helping- not sure if I'm getting more sleep but certainly worrying about it less because I don't know how bad it is!

Off to read all your posts now!
