      Hi all,

Just joined the forum and looking forward to learning from your experiences 🙂

My biggest struggle with sleep is probably my beliefs around it and the amount of pressure I put myself to achieve X hours of sleep, and the adverse consequences that will follow should my sleep would not be as good as I wanted it to be. One thing I struggle to overcome is the belief that I’ll get a chronic, deteriorating disease(s) if I carry on being such a poor sleeper.
My arousal system is usually in full gear, feeling anxious and alert most of the time, which obviously makes sleeping very difficult as my body always feels it’s in danger and wants to protect me by releasing adrenaline.

Only thing that has helped me a little bit with that exact fear is the wim hof breathing method, hot baths, and magnesium supplements. I’ve noticed that putting “pressure” on sleep is extremely bad for sleep.

Hi SleepWorry, thanks for your advice 🙂
I’ll do some research on the wim hof breathing method you suggested.
