How long before know CBTI not work?

      I started CBTI recently and have 8 nights under my belt. I have really struggled. My sleep window is 12-5. I have had one great night 5 hours, 1 pretty good night 3.5 hours, and the rest have been 0-2 hours. My CBTI Therapist said yesterday after the 7th night that this may not work for me. I was crushed…which of course interfered with last night’s sleep. How long before someone knows that CBTI is a possibility for them?

        I can only imagine how difficult (and unhelpful) such a statement must have been to hear! Did your therapist tell you why, after just eight nights, they felt that the approach they were sharing with you might not work for you?

        Everyone experiences improvements on their own timeline — there’s no one-size-fits-all here. And, in the beginning, things might even feel more difficult as you adjust to a new approach.
