      Hello
Im in week 2 of sleep restriction, 15 yrs of initial and maintenance insomnia w Ambien use daily for 15 yrs.
I’m hopeful this will help me get natural sleep.

My husband and I have not slept in same room for 10 years as he snores and moves a lot .
We would like to sleep in our bed once again but I’m just not sure if that’s possible given his issues. And of course I am a light sleeper and his head hits the pillow and he is gone into deep sleep land.

Is it possible? Any tips ie timing of when to try sleeping, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
      Love this forum!!

I think this comes down to personal values — what’s important to you and helps you live the kind of life you want to live? If sleeping alongside your partner helps move you toward the kind of life you want to live and not sleeping with your partner is something that moves you away from the kind of life you want to live, it might be worth “retraining” yourself to share a bed with your partner.

If you do decide to begin sharing a bed with your partner again, it might be worth getting his snoring issues investigated — not only for his own health but to help create more favorable conditions for sleep for you, too!
