One more question…I know that looking at the clock is definitely one of my problems.  However, how do you get yourself to stop??  I need to have an alarm in my room to wake me up for work.  I hide my alarm clock under the bed, but it’s really not that difficult to pull it out when I get up to use the bathroom!  Any success stories to make it a bit more unaccessable, but still available to turn off the alarm?

I think in this case, your best bet is to make it more inconvenient to look at the clock. Putting it under the bed is one idea — but this isn’t working for you. So, instead, how about moving it to the opposite end of the room? You may need to get creative and make it as difficult as possible to get to the clock at night. Good luck!

Looking at the clock is not the issue, its what you do with the information it gives you. I don’t know what you are doing, this is my first post here in a very long time. I do know you must convince yourself looking at the clock has no bearing on the outcome of the night, it is an inanimate object. I am nearing my 60s and frequently arise in the middle of the night to relieve myself, I have just trained myself to notice the time and go back to bad if it is not at least 5 am. I normally get up around 5:30 am being a retired military guy.
