      Hello,

I am no longer fearful of nighttime wakefulness but I noticed that I get hyperasoused during the whole night because I sweat (I checked with doctors fr physical issues but nothing is wrong) so I guess it is stress related or my system gets activated automatically at night. Anyone experiencing this I have been like that for years now and I think it is the cause of my wakefulness. Any thoughts or similar experience ?

new to this sleep window therapy, if u are no longer fearful as u say, but then u say u get hyperarousal isnt that the same thing ???? fear and arousal ???

so are u doing a sleep window and if yes how is that working for u. is your hyperarousal keeping u awake at night etc ??

from what i am learning from martin’s material

sleep drive plus a calm mind equals SLEEP !

When you experience hyperarousal at night, what is going through your mind and how do you typically respond to those moments?

Hyperarousal can come from just being excited, like a kid on Christmas Eve not sleeping. It’s not always from worry. We have to remind our brain sometimes, for example, okay brain you’re keeping me alert now and I realise why I’m excited (or you could replace I’m sad etc) thanks brain but I realise this is a normal part of life and guess what I can handle it by accepting it and letting it wash over me but hey I’m still here. Don’t fight the pain just let it sit in your lap and it can disappear and you can then relax. It works for me. Good luck.
