      Hi Everyone,

      I’m happy that there is a forum for people to connect and share tips and tricks on insomnia. My biggest issue is not being able to stop my racing, and anxious thoughts when I go to bed. I will be tired but the moment I lay down all the racing thoughts come so hard and fast and I’m instantly not tired anymore and can’t seem to control them then the worries of not sleeping for another night pile on quick and fast and it seems to be a recipe for a wakeful night.

      Any tips or tricks welcome.

        Welcome to the forum, SK! I have a feeling that for as long as your goal is to stop your racing and anxious thoughts, you might remain tangled up in a struggle — because, at the end of the day, we can’t control the things our mind does!

        Perhaps more helpful would be learning to make space for difficult thoughts and feelings to exist instead. To prevent them from distracting you and sweeping you away. That way, over time, they might have less of an influence over you!
