Hello out there, my name is Chris I am 53 year old person.

In this past month I went 111 hours before 11 hours of sleep

over a 3 day span. I am now at hour 130 since then. Too put

things in order; I have tried most OTC as well as several prescribed

drugs from my Doctor. Herbal roots to meditation & hypnotic

music via U-tube. I have epilepsy, and the drug that prevents

seizures, creates the insomnia. The Doctor can only prescribe

another drug, and I am running out of ideas; sane, stupid &

silly as some have sounded.  It might sound just as hard to

believe, but this is my 1st effort using this type of platform.

IE; I do not have anything save an E-mail address. I have not

worked for the previous 12 years and counting, I have lost

over 30 pounds. Having work helped back then. I have been using

cannabis forever for sleep but like most things, I believe tolerance and

      age are winning.

So, since I do not know what I am doing or getting into? I guess what

I am asking is; Can you relate? Do you have something that works for

you? Can you direct me in a direction?  Past saying I am bleeping tired!

My body seems to be slowing down and my mind does not seems to

      care.      Thanks?

      It is 11pm. Hour 131

Hello Chris and welcome to the forum. You certainly seem to be keeping a very close track of the number of hours you spend awake and asleep. I would suggest that most people don’t keep such a close eye on the number of hours they have been awake over such a long period of time. Paying less attention to this may be helpful since it will likely lead to lower levels of anxiety towards your extended periods of wakefulness.

Did you talk to your doctor about cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia? Please note that some components (such as sleep restriction and stimulus control) should only be pursued with your doctor’s approval due to your epilepsy.

if i found the secret the holy grail of sleep again i will certainly share it with the world we all count chris i think we do it because it’s beyond belief

the human mind is not made for this form of functioning so we count to try and make sense of it all

me i dont do pot because it gives me panic attacks but it’s a well known fact allot do to calm down you build in a tolerance that’s normal

the reason pot is in menny country’s and ilegal drug is thanks to the farmaceutica you can’t patent nature

therefore every known drug is a derivative of a natural chemical agent

but that’s all legal crap if nature helps you for years go back to its pure form try hash ,eat certain mushrooms

what doctors sometimes write for is pure poison

a misplaced joke here maybe in this forum a doctor will not loose sleep over it so long he make money
