      Hi,

I have had chronic insomnia for about 2 years. I sleep about 4 hours per night and that is interrupted with reading for about 1 hour! That amount of sleep is accomplished with a sleeping pill. I get so worn down. I used to be able to nap but now that isn't happening. Besides not feeing good, the biggest impact is emotional. I have nothing “in my tank.” I have tried so many things…… My latest attempt is to just go with it and have a good attitude about little sleep and reading a lot. I get kind of tired in the early evening but then become non sleepy at bedtime.

This is miserable. I am anxious to see how others are dealing with insomnia and if there is any hope out there.

Have no idea what caused my insomnia or why it is so bad. The dr. Just perscibed klonopin. Has anyone tried this and what were the results?

You're probably best off starting a new discussion thread regarding klonopin – new discussion subjects with their own topic will get the most views and are likelier to get a response.

Do you suffer from anxiety/panic attacks or was the klonopin prescribed solely for your insomnia?

Well, I am now having a lot of anxiety but that may be secondary to the insomnia…or is the insomnia because of the anxiety? Who knows at this point. It is all muddled together. I will start another discussion.
