      Hello,
Last week I suffered from a concussion. What followed was a horrible time. I felt anxious and could never fall asleep. I felt exhausted during the day, then at night when I went to put my head down at night my thoughts would start racing and my heart would start pounding. The anxiety has lessened, but I still cannot seem to fall asleep. I am scared of going to bed now and feeling alone and confused.

        Hey @preilly!

Terribly sorry to hear about your concussion, hope you’re doing better with it. Any time we experience a traumatic life event, it’s possible to interfere with our sleep but it usually returns to normal when the stressful event has passed. When we begin to change our thoughts and behaviors about the quality of our sleep, it can perpetuate our issue. Were your anxious thoughts regarding your concussion, your ability to sleep at night or both? What is going through your mind when you go to bed?
