      Hello!
Just need some suggestions. My insomnia returned out of the blue this past Monday. I can’t fall to sleep for the last 3 nights. After taking Melatonin. Tylenol and Advil I fell asleep at 3:30am and another day at 6am.
My brain seems to want to monitor if I’m asleep or not when I’m laying there. And it’s difficult to get my mind shut back off.

My mom had a stroke this past summer and perhaps with her sleep schedule it has affected mine.

      Thank you!

Sorry to hear about your mom’s stroke and I wish her all the best.

Difficult nights from time to time are all part of being a human being — just as difficult days from time to time are normal and to be expected, too.

Do you think it’s possible that all your attempts to shut your mind off might be making your mind work harder and, in turn, be making things more difficult?

          Thank you Martin!
I’m trying to once again begin the sleep window. 12am til 6. Took 1 Somulin last night. I actually didn’t sleep at all. And those devastating feelings return. I know it was probably just a bad night. Just wanted to vent. Thank you!

It sounds as though you learned that Somulin cannot generate sleep — if it could, you would have slept after taking it, right? With that in mind, perhaps even the difficult nights can bring valuable insights and, therefore, have some value!
