      I was always a great sleeper. All of a sudden, I had experienced 5-6 consecutive sleepless nights starting while I was on vacation. What made it worse was that I stayed in bed the whole time tossing and turning. I’ve never missed a night of sleep all my life. I didn’t know how to react. I didn’t address my issues properly hands on.

      I was expecting for things to change when I got back home but they didn’t. I’ve tried a few supplements and prescription pills. They didn’t work consistently, and the side effects were not pleasant. I started to average 2-3 hours a night and I would 1 or 2 all nighters weekly. I became very worried and anxious.

      I was never a very anxious person. I don’t have depression or mental illness. Somehow, I forgot how to sleep. Then, I started doing some research on insomnia and CBT-I. I kinda makes sense. Lately, I have implemented CBT-I techniques as well as sleepy tea + CBD honey sticks, which help me fall asleep quickly. Your podcast and the CBT-I literature give me some much needed hope.

        Welcome to the forum! It’s encouraging to see that you’ve started implementing CBT-I techniques. If you have questions along the way, just let us know! Part of what you’ve learned or will learn about CBT-I is the more effort we put into improving our sleep, the less our sleep responds!
