So..yeah, not so good with the conversation starters..I guess the best way is to say why I'm here? Obviously I cannot sleep. I did not get diagnoised with insomnia until late in life, though I've had it since I was about 10. My mom always thought I was joking about not sleeping at night as to why I was dragging in the morning when it was time for school. She only believes me now because she gets hit with bouts of it herself. I was diagnoised schizophrenic in my 30s, and the doctors gave me pills to help me sleep. They had to keep upping the dosage until I stopped taking those all together. now I make due with over the counter meds like advil pm because I also have chronic pain, it still takes about 6 hours for those to kick in and they don't put me completely out. I work in retail which has actually made it worse, I don't feel like I get any real rest until my off days when I know that I don't have to get out of bed unless I want to. Not having children helps with that :). So….that's kind of me in a nutshell.

I guess it would have something to do with the fact that my mom moved to another state when i was around that age, and they had to force her to come and get me. Being raised by a parent who does not want you, and u know it? Not my idea of fun. The pain didn't start until maybe 10 years after that. I just recently got diagnosed with arthritis in my left knee and it's totally killing me and the painkillers for that don't work. So, i'm awake. Again. Crap! 🙂
