Insomnia can get us down sometimes.

With me suffering depression as well I'm also guilty of taking a negative view on the world, and when you can barely sleep too it can take its toll on our minds and energy.

But let's try to be positive!

Name ONE positive thing about your life that you're grateful for.

      I'll start us off..

The positive thing in my life is, I suppose my new girlfriend. I'm a fool when it comes to love. I fall inlove too easily and I get hurt too easily. This past year has been horrible for me, but this past few months have been amazing thanks to her. She's understanding, she accepts I need to take it slow this time, and on top she cares because she constantly nags at me if I'm in the wrong about something 😉

I always look at the negatives too but I'm getting better…slowly!

The most positive thing about my life is my amazing family and friends! when my girlfriend left me a couple of months ago, they all stood up for me and made me realise how lucky I am to have such awesome people in my life!! 😀

I'm so practical about everything that I rarely think in terms of positive and negative aspects. It either has to be one way or another way, and that's how it is.

But I suppose that if I didn't have my kids I would be in a much worse shape. And it's a sort of typical answer from a parent but it's the truth for me. They make me keep focus and do what I need to do, so I'm going with that 🙂

I am grateful for those people who donated blood so that I could survive birth, and the month afterwards, when I was getting a complete blood exchange. I hate needles, but I always ask for the best phlebotomist in the office when I give blood.

I am grateful for modern medicine: I might not have survived birth even a decade earlier. I am alive and functioning today due to medications and advances in diagnosis and treatment for the following medical conditions: diabetes (especially while I was pregnant), high blood pressure, high cholesterol, hypothyroidism, bipolar disorder (althought D&T for this has considerable room for improvement, as it's a hit&miss lottery system, all too often).

I'm grateful for the time I can sleep, which is more these days.

I am grateful for living in Northern California with its climate for agriculture and season-lovers, its diverse population, and in general, its political climate.

This may sound cheesy but the thing that I'm most grateful for is the fact that we're all here, its such an amazing mystery.

I suffer with several medical complaints including depression and a heart condition and this year I have been in and out of hospital to my annoyance…but not matter what I always think that things could be worse.

The thing I am grateful for in my life? That's simple really…the friends I have, they truly have been a great support network for me but I've also shared some fun times with them with fun and laughter and smiles.
