      Hi everyone, my name is Jo and my biggest challenge is that when night comes I start to feel nervous and my heart rate rises a lot. I take a lot of time to fall asleep and get really anxious while in bed. I’ve started a CBT-i treatment but would like to know if you had tips to ease into sleep without this kind of anxiousness.

        The symptoms you are describing are quite common among people with insomnia — after repeated unpleasant nighttime experiences, you have learned that going to bed is not a pleasant activity and this kicks in the body’s fight or flight response.
