Does anyone miss the nights? I noticed that whenever I get to sleep and have a good sleep when I wake up and notice daylight and during the day when I am up early, since usually when I sleep it is sometime in the evening and im up all night.

I notice that I miss night time. I find myself now at 11:43 AM on Sunday November 7th wishing it was night time. I feel more relaxed and enjoy the night much more, maybe because everyone is asleep and I am unable to sleep so I do reading etc.

So I'm wondering does anyone else miss the nighttime when they are awake during the day?

That's a really interesting thought, Franky – thanks for starting a thread on this topic.

I have always been a bit of a night owl – but when I get out of bed late in the day I sometimes regret 'missing out' on part of that day (especially as the nights are so much longer at this time of year). Having said that, I do also see how people could miss the night, too – I definitely appreciate it, but not so much at this time of the year!

Do you find you miss the nights more during the summer when the evening hours are that much shorter? At least at this time of the year there is a far longer opportunity to get your nighttime fix in!

Nights for me are generally associated with frustration so any time I can avoid them is a good thing.

I definitely miss the quiet and the space though. Even if I manage to find some 'me' time during the day, I don't ever feel as left alone as I do being in my room in the dark. No idea why that is.

No snow here yet. Just cold, and the leaves every where on the ground!

I feel the opposite. When it's dark and night or early morning, it tends to make me feel really lonely, even anxious. I prefer the daylight, but the schedule I've been on until recently has me up late and up early (eg. 4am) so it is dark a lot…too bad, we could trade, my night for your day, because the sun tends to make me feel better, even if I don't do anything productive that day. That's one of the things I love about California.
