Sorry, I have completely fallen off the message board. I was a reviewer for the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award contest, and reading 40 multi-page excerpts in two weeks obliterated my schedule. I am currently picking up the pieces.
Also, I have been dedicating more time to my son's homeschooling, especially since there seems to be a new uprising in our state for increasing regulations…there is the stupid belief that all homeschoolers abuse their children — but that is a story for another day.
Since we are no longer experiencing 12 inches of snow on a daily basis, we are back to our frequent travels as well, so I am not online that much lately.
I have been so busy, I even resigned from being block captain for our neighborhood watch.
I am still behind on writing book reviews, but…oh well…
In case you are wondering, I am still an insomniac! 😮
Miss you guys!!
Ursula
April 3, 2010 at 8:30 am #10800I”ve been around, I talk to Lindsay everyday pretty much and we webcam and make fun of each other as well.
I had a really bad insomnia thing a month or two ago, I got over that and I just lost myself, I'm still finding myself, every thing in my life that has happened that I've mentioned, things I didn't mention and never will tell another soul, have been getting to me, life caught up to me I guess, I'm dealing with my leg and back pain getting to me, I will get more sleep but have less energy be drained, I never get ahead, I also working on a web comic right now managing it all out and getting ready to write it and have it drawn up.
April 5, 2010 at 2:13 pm #10801Hey Ursula!
We've been missing you, too! You must try to get on here at least a few minutes per week otherwise we have zombie-withdrawal symptoms.
Oh, and Franky, you need to watch out for that Lindsay – she's a trouble maker!!

April 5, 2010 at 2:24 pm #10802I take offense to that, sir!
No…I'm kidding. I am trouble. LOL
April 5, 2010 at 8:27 pm #10803as, i more succinctly said in my status update, i was taking an online/chat/etc. hiatus because i entered a particularly unstable phase.
to be more specific, one of my mental health “quirks” is this weird combination of blowing up over something infintecimally significant, and then proceeding to go through three steps 1) engage other person, bait if necessary 2) anger (the other person & I), and 3) viciously emotionally attack them. it's not technically depersonalization or dissociation, which i also go through, but i manage it's a tangentially related state. i've dubbed it many things, “methodical, irrational hostility” is the best phrase i've come up with.
the weird thing is, usually these events in which i “lose it” and viciously go after people for no rational reason (this is a very irrational state, where in said state, i actually take pleasure in being able to successfully anger or hurt someone emotionally–never physical…this is followed by immediate immense remorse, and often damaged friendships.)
usually, these “states” happen in isolated incidents or in very small clusters, but i have honestly lost track of how many times the past 2-3 weeks i've irrepably damaged both online & offline friendships. so, in the interest of preventing them, i kinda went AWOL on the internet, forums, chat, phone, etc. i literally locked myself up in the room, basically.
that said, i seem to be responding well to the med adjustments, and things have actually been…shall we say…calmer…even pleasant the past few days, so i'm very carefully entering the world of social interaction again.

Glad to hear it – we were starting to miss you!

Does it work? Cause if I could get someone to throw geese at people, my life would be complete.
April 6, 2010 at 7:35 pm #10807Awww man! I completely missed the deadline for the Amazon Breakthrough Novel competition this year. Maybe next year 🙂
I've been off trying to finish my novel and write a script for Script Frenzy but having little luck with either. I've also had a really crappy Easter.
I'm not 100% and I still can't sleep but I promise to make the effort to pop in more often. Stick the kettle on, hey? 😀
