It all happened when I was 16, I was camping in the forest with my friends on his dad’s farm. After the sun went down we heard a startling sound and all arose abruptly. It was sound of blood curdling screaming. It sounded like humans, but something was a bit off. There began more and more screaming from other voices, and it went on for about 30 minutes.
Long story short I didn’t sleep at all that night, and started developing anxiety about not sleeping, because we had a long day ahead of us, of outdoor activities, and I didn’t want to be tired for all of it. We later found out it was wolves in the night murdering the farmers goats.
I know my issue has been 100% psychological and habitual, for many years I thought it was neurological like something was wrong with my brain or body. However I also had severe social anxiety for most of my life, but have completely cured that with training and instruction from experts, something I thought was completely incurable.
So with that being said I am confident, with the right instruction, I can and will improve my sleep. Glad to join and get started.

What you experienced at 16 yrs old would certainly cause anxiety for most of us and I’m glad to hear that you’ve been able to successfully manage that with training. What is your biggest challenge with sleep, currently?

April 18, 2022 at 1:47 pm #52815My main current issue is sleeping during the mornings. Sometimes I stay up late because I would like to be social on the weekends. A lot of people will stay up very late. If I do this I usually don’t sleep much at all.
April 18, 2022 at 2:37 pm #52817That’s understandable, especially if you’re consistently waking at the same time every morning. For me, I know that when I have a social event planned on a weekend night, I’ll still wake at 6am the next morning, even without an alarm, because that’s my waking time every morning. We certainly don’t want the occasional sleep disruption on the weekend to determine our social life. How’s your sleep the rest of the week?

April 19, 2022 at 3:37 am #52832It depends usually it’s okay the rest of the week, but even during the week I tend to go to bed late and have the same problem. My goal would be to sleep during the morning like a normal person, or like I used to, so I don’t have to worry about staying up late.
April 19, 2022 at 12:37 pm #52868What most helps you live the kind of life you want to live? Going out and socializing (and maybe experiencing some sleep disruption), or staying at home and doing nothing in a bid to protect your sleep at all costs?

April 20, 2022 at 5:34 am #52897Hello, definitely it feels better to go out and loose some sleep than to not. I spent many years declining invitations from friends, missing out on a lot of life experiences, and becoming very isolated because I was tired from not sleeping.
