      hi everyone my name is Krystal and i have been suffering with chronic insomnia for 1year and 5 months now.And i now just feel hopeless and alone and just want to give up on everything just because i feel like i have tried numerous of things, spent spent lots and lots of money and still don't know what it is. I am so tired of having to tell people me that I can't sleep and when they ask why i have to say” i don't know”. It sucks when you try to get to the bottom of and have to a sudden point just ask you self could it be all these things just because a point in your life insomnia snuck up on and you don't know EXACTLY what it is. Now that i am going through this i do recall always taking hours and hours just to fall asleep, however now i'm not sleeping at all if i don't take anything and who wants to live the rest of their life taking something just to sleep. I'm 25 with no kids and i do work a third shift job but i did so for 3 years so why now????? I have been ruined and affected socailly, physically, mentally and emotiinally. I JUST REALLY I CAN FIND A END TO THIS SOON, I HAVE A WHOLE LIFE AHEAD TO CONTINUE WITH.

            Welcome to Insomnia Land, Krystal.

            Getting off the sleeping pills is absolutely possible. You cannot give up on this, if this is your aim.

            Have you tried alternative techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy? You may find our free sleep training helpful – it's based on CBT and sleep hygiene. At the very least, you should see some improvements in your sleep if you follow the advice in the course.

              and yes i did try cbt and wanted to fully commit because it is hard when you don't stay in your own place and can't commit to all those techniques, leaving the room, removing so many things from the bedrrom etc. And tell other members to try GABA supplements!
