      i have been suffering from insomnia for 15 years. I took clonazopam until January when it was stolen from me while I was visiting my cousin in Florida.

      I went through a horrific withdraw since I couldn’t get a refill for 3 weeks

      i decided after reading about the drug to try something else. Ambient worked pretty well for half the night

      My doctor changed it to trazadone a few weeks ago. It is not working.

      Hopefully I can get some help on here from others

        Trazadone makes me have heart jitters, so I can’t use it.

        If Ambien works for you for half the night, that’s a great blessing. I can only get a couple hours from that, if I can find a way to get the medication at all.

        Same with clonazepam. If I can get it at all from anywhere, it works for a couple of hours at best.

        Nothing else from any doctor has helped at all. Sometimes I can get an hour or so if someone gives me some pot. It’s legal here, but I’m not really into weed.

        15 years is awful. Why is this happening to us?

          Hello Joypane. Did your doctor mention cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I)? CBT-I has been clinically proven to be just as effective as sleeping medication over the short-term, and more effective than sleeping pills over the long-term.
