The human body doesn’t require any type of supplement to generate sleep.
Sometimes it’s the ongoing experimentation with supplements (and even medication) that can train the brain to believe that wakefulness is a threat that it needs to be alert at night to protect us from — it’s one of the understandable efforts we can engage in to make sleep happen that ends up making sleep even more difficult!
To fall asleep naturally, we need to be sleepy enough for sleep (we need to have been awake for long enough) and we need to completely remove ourselves from the process of sleep. The more we try, the more we usually set ourselves up for a struggle!
