I have always struggle with sleeplessness since I can remember as a child. But I think this too was from anxiety as I had a pretty unpleasent childhood, so I think in some ways i have taught myself to not sleep propley kind of like keeping one eye open….

I have had it reasonably under control until the last 6 months and I have not been able to overcome it bar the odd good nights sleep which is usually the result of drinking too much the night before. I have to say I find wine has been about the only thing that can relax me into sleep so far….

I do have a lot on at the moment with my business and also my husband and I are battling infertility so maybe it is a compounded problem and its like I have Unlearnt how to fall asleep.

It has been good reading on here so many understand what this is like and the battle with it, my husband just say if you where tierd you would go to sleep, I so wish this was the case.

Welcome to the community, MissMinx 🙂 I'm sorry to hear about your situation, I hope you'll find some great comfort, advice and maybe pick up a couple extra friends along the way here!

It sounds like you have a lot on your mind. At night before bed have you tried keeping an old fashioned pen & paper diary? Get all your thoughts, feelings, worries etc down on paper before bed – getting them out of your system so to speak?

Yeah you should 🙂 it does help I used to do it myself. Infact it's something I should start doing myself again, too!
