I think my insomnia started 2015. Something bad happen in our family and that made me anxious to get sleep. In all these years my insomnia is on and off some weeks I’m lucky to fall asleep some weeks my sleep is so bad again. I recover but stressors will make the insomnia come back again. I’m looking online for help but nothing help so far. I started praying intensely and somehow it helps. I cannot make sure that I will sleep each night. Some night out of nowhere and out of pure luck and easily sleep with no effort at all. Some night I wonder why I can’t sleep no matter what I do. I develop sleep dread and I use to fear not sleeping at night but now I learn to accept it and I learn to accept that I lose my ability to sleep. I miss old days when I’m younger when I don’t think about sleep because I sleep all night

When do you normally go to bed at night, when do you get out of bed to start your day, and roughly how many hours of sleep do you get on a typical night?

Do you tend to have more difficulty falling asleep at the start of the night, or sleeping through the night?
