Hello,  I’m new to this forum, but not to insomnia.  2-3 years ago, my sleep cycle seemed to shift from 8 hrs to 5 hrs…  I finally have resorted to Klonipin in order to sleep all night.  Still, I tend to nod off mid-morning and mid- afternoon. Have been relatively sedate, but am starting an exercise program with a trainer today! Of course, my goal is to kick the benzo…

I too tried klonopin with no real results. I don’t take it everyday though because it rarely works. I also take vraylar with it and you would think that would work too but it doesn’t. I’ve tried everything. I sleep about 4 hours a night average. It’s only been over a month now. I don’t know how all of you can deal with this for years. You must be very strong. I’m falling apart.

Welcome to the forum, robrtstar! It’s so good to hear that you are starting an exercise program — I am sure that it will make you feel better. At the very least it will likely help reduce the effects of fatigue.

Can you tell us a bit more about your current sleep pattern? When do you go to bed at night, when do you get out of bed in the morning, and roughly how many hours of sleep do you get on a typical night?
