Newbie struggling

      I am asking for advice as a newbie. I have given myself the window 11-6. By 11 I feel sleepy but lay down only to get out of bed minutes later and then spend the rest of the night watching tv, listening to pod casts for reassurance. I havent slept in 2 days. What are the best ideas I should use during this time?Thanks Paul

        Hi Paul!

        So why do you get out of bed after only minutes? Is it not possible to just enjoy the bed, feel the soft sheets against your skin or close your eyes, think good thoughts and allow your mind to drift off until you have unknowingly fallen asleep? I do this every night and I fall asleep without fail.

          Thank you. It has come to me with renewed realization that it’s all a mind game. There’s no fire, no emergency to going to sleep. I am telling my mind that all is good and safe so don’t give me those false alarms and if you do Im going to tell you the same thing. I actually slept well last night after having a good heart to heart talk with myself. I said there is no danger around here ,look. Having an open mind without my brains falling out is a good thing. Thanks for your response.
