Ive been having issues with sleep for the last 8 months. I seems i cannot sleep at all every night. I cannot fall asleep. I have the awareness of falling asleep and then cant fall asleep. I also get this ive been half awake half asleep until about 3 or 4 in the morning after going to bed at about 1 1:30 as i never feel sleepy. When i open my eyes around this time it feels as if ive never been asleep despite 3 pr 4 hours passing and then the rest of the night til morning i just toss and turn. I never feel sleepy during the day either. I constantly google sleep drive circadian alerting signal vlpo ras adenosine hyper arousal nut i can never pinpoint what is causing me to not fall asleep. I currently take sertraline in the morning. This all started after a stressful period last year and after a mild covid infection. I work from home also so sont have the daily commute anymore. I feel as if my thalamus or vlpo or something is damaged/short on gaba and i will never fall asleep

Grangers, I know how you feel and I went through it too for a few months last winter. I would seriously consider taking Martin’s 8 week training program. I’m confident that it will help you solve your sleep issues.

Everything you describe is what I’m going through,I never feel sleepy ever the half awake half asleep thing is how I am when in bed at night like my brain never can get to the stage 3 sleep
          that I need.

The only possible chance you could have at getting sleepy is setting up a sleep window of maybe 6 hours and getting up every morning at the time you’re supposed to,the most progress
I’ve found happens when you wake up when you least feel like it when you have to literally
drag yourself out of bed that has worked for me in the past its just so hard to execute and also don’t sit around in doors get outside have some movement it also worked well in building sleep drive and I sleep when I’m tired enough to.
