I often have to get up to pee multiple times a night. The urge to pee wakes me up and I know I won’t go back to sleep until I use the rest room. Very frustrating. I in general try not to drink anything after 6pm. Obviously if I drink alcohol that makes things worse so I avoid it.

Wondering if there is a correlation between insulin resistance and nocturia. (Night time peeing)?

Any other advice other than training my bladder to hold more.

      Thx.

This is a great question that would best be answered by your doctor. Have you sought medical advice for this issue?

Yes, my sleep doctor told me I should try to “train” my bladder to hold more. (Not super helpful if there is another reason this is happening.) I have since moved away from this doctor and need to find a new general practicioner and sleep doc, and this question will be at the top of my list. Thank you.
