Since my sleep issues starting June 2023, I had been slowly improving since August, but still having several relapses. These past two weeks have been terrible, I’ve had two very scary episodes of sleep paralysis despite never experiencing it before. I have also been taking sleeping pills which despite working in the past, just aren’t keeping me asleep for long enough this time. I’m moving house atm, so acute stress is definitely the cause of this relapse. Anyway, just wondering if you’ve heard of clients and insomnia sufferers experiencing sleep paralysis because of chronic insomnia? Can’t tell if it’s the sleep meds, altered sleep patterns or both.

Just so exhausted and can’t see an end in sight. I just want these relapses to go away for good, my confidence in my ability to sleep has gone again.

Sleep paralysis can happen in the presence of insomnia and without the presence of insomnia.

Sleep paralysis can be scary but it’s not usually a symptom of a medication condition. With that being said, sleep paralysis isn’t my area of expertise so if it’s of concern, I would suggest talking to your doctor.
