Hello,  My name is Katy.  My sister tagged me on one of the Facebook posts.  I have no idea why I have trouble sleeping and I do not remember the last night that I slept for over 4 hours at one time.  At first, my doctor thought it was sleep apnea, so I went through all the sleep studies & have mild sleep apnea & use a cpap…..which made no difference in my sleeping patterns.  I will usually sleep 1.5-3 hours at a time & then I’m wide awake for at least 30 minutes, sometimes hours.  Then another stint of 1.5-3 hours of sleep, if possible.  I have just chalked it up to getting older & menopause.

Hi Katy!  I am definitely not a Dr, but I know when I went to a sleep specialist, the first thing my Dr mentioned was that my progesterone level was pretty low.  I have started taking oral micronized Progesterone.  The brand name Prometrium is best.  I haven’t been taking long, so I haven’t noticed anything drastic yet, but I’ve heard of many other people who are at that peri or full fledged menopause stage that have found great relief with this for sleep.  It might be worth researching.
