      Hi all,

      49 yo male here.

Insomnia started around three months ago–waking up at three or four am. But in the last two weeks, I am up at midnight or one am, and drift in and out of sleep until around four am. I start work at six am, so you can imagine how this affects me. I am writing this in a daze. Total loss of concentration, sagging eyes, and I am really freaking out. Diet is good, health is good, no smoke, no drink, yoga, one or two cups of coffee a day, last sip is usually around two pm, maybe three.

Please tell me I can get through this….

And yes, I am in Seattle, and sleepless

Welcome to the forum, J.C. and I’m sorry to hear about your struggles with sleep. When you wake during the night (which is actually part of normal sleep), why do you think you are struggling to fall back to sleep?

At the current time, when do you go to bed at night and when do you get out of bed to start your day in the morning? On a typical night, how many hours of sleep would you say you get?

Thank you for the kind words and the recommendation, @richard!
