let me introduce myself i am davy 37 years old man
all my life I have been a bad sleeper or a short sleeper
I have enough with 5 hours
but the last year I do not get there anymore
if I’m lucky I sleep 3 hoursthere are special nights where I do not sleep at all and sometimes for days on end
eventually I sleep through pure exhaustion
I also have a very active life I am a carpenter and I play a lot of sports now I have recently been in the clinic because I fell at work due to pure exhaustion
my boss understood me and I was allowed to work half-time after the hospital
but even working part-time is hell, whether I am home or the weekend it does not matter I just can not sleeplike so many of you, I have tried everything and have taken almost every drug
now I am about to be unable to cope with this work
what this means does not work any money
money means poverty and bankruptcyI am afraid of my house and all that I have to lose now because of this unsung illness also a medical question about what insomnia does to you
for me is that fatigue
anger attacks
started crying out of nothing
chest pain and throughout the day
I forget everything
and I can not speak that decent senseI am happy to have found this site
here people understand you
in real life you find difficult understandingSeptember 9, 2018 at 7:35 pm #23322Hello Davy and welcome to the forum. Everyone here knows what you are going through, and we’re all here to support you. It’s little wonder that you are struggling to sleep when you equate sleep problems with losing your house — that would keep anyone up at night.
You mention that you have tried all different types of drugs. When you spoke to your doctor did they mention cognitive behavioral treatment for insomnia (CBT-I)? What do you think is stopping you from sleeping through the night?

September 10, 2018 at 2:53 pm #23329thank you for answering yes there is little that I have not tried yet
What keeps me awake is the anxiety of sleep itself
I go to bed I will not sleep again even though I am exhausted
what I have learned that our brains are one powerful instrumentin anxiety attacks that I also suffer from, it makes your heart race against 200 if you can not sleep, make the same circle
I’m afraid I will not live long in this way, this is an attack on your health and mental ability
if my sentence structure is not correct it is google translators fault English is not my mother tongue
September 11, 2018 at 8:21 pm #23345Anxiety about sleep (and other issues in life) are real barriers to sleep. However, cognitive and behavioral techniques can help minimize the power of anxiety and, therefore, improve sleep. You mention that you have tried a lot of things to improve your sleep — but have you specifically tried CBT-I?

3rd day now. I am not bragging, and if I read what I am CURRENTLY

7 days ago. Martin questioned why I am counting? I am not.
In 2o minutes will start another.Davy- I stopped working 12 years ago, for Epilepsy witch the
side effects of induces my insomnia. I just spent 3 hours on
a secluded beach, and nothing. Last time I got to 111 hours
before I either had a seizure or fell asleep. That was back on
last Monday the17th. Every night I am sure it has to be tonight.
