Question about night time routine

      So i started having issues with sleep in January this year and i really struggled for about 2-3 weeks the came across martins podcast and it really help me with questions about laying in bed awake and being ok with it .. now my question is part of my nightly routine is cuddling with my wife watching tv and it helps me relax and sleep the past week and half iv been sleeping for 6-8 hrs and been falling asleep within minutes.. now last night 3/7 she wanted to lay in our bed and watch tv which I haven’t done we normally watch tv in living room so I stayed in living room and she was in bed room she ended falling asleep and when i finally went to lay in bed I couldn’t fall asleep I eventually fell asleep I don’t know what time or how long but I do remember dreaming .. my question is would it be ok to lay in bed and watch tv with her some nights I felt like not cuddling with her before bed made me feel lonely and didn’t help with my sleep

        What would you do if sleep wasn’t a factor? If you haven’t got insomnia? Or pre-insomnia, what would you have done?

        Then do exactly that. Show your brain that sleep, or a lack of it, which is often temporary, is nothing to be concerned about.
