      Ive tried melatonin and CBD oil (together and separately) And can only sleep for 2 hours before being awoken with a racing heart. I meditate, deep breath, listen to meditation apps and get very fitful, brief episodes of sleep. I should be very tired in the morning, but I’m not. Day 3 this week, 5 days last week. Only thing that broke the cycle last week was 2 days of Clonazepam, which left me feeling hung over. May have to result to 1/2 dose of ambient tonight, as I desperately need sleep.

        Welcome to the forum, Buzzy. Unfortunately, there is no evidence to support the use of melatonin or CBD oil as effective treatments for chronic insomnia — and sleeping pills are not a long-term solution.

        Have you looked into CBT-I? It has a success rate of over 80% and is recognized as the most effective long-term treatment for chronic insomnia.
