Why is it that after a bout of insomnia, I can go weeks just fine and then wham! It's back! Anybody else have this problem? I'm beginning to think it might be hormonal but then again docs blame a lot on that cause. Nothing changes in my life it just keeps resurfacing. It drives me crazy. Somebody told me that this can go on for 6 months. OMG……I can't imagine.

No, nothing. I occasionally take an over the counter med if I don't fall aleep within 2 hrs but consistently taking something…no. I had a bout of it for about a month then it left. Now 6 weeks later it just came back the other nite. Keeping my fingers crossed it lasted 3 days and I resumed sleeping. I have been trying to workout every day for about 30 minutes andi think that helped considerably. Day by day!

Glad the exercise is helping – I hear that quite often, actually.

Do you notice any change in your lifestyle or personal circumstances just before the insomnia returns?

I don't know if in my case its rebound or not, but I mean I often find myself having problems sleeping for several weeks, then it'll be one day I'm able to sleep but seems more like I sleep because my body is just driven to the point of exhaustion, then I'm back up and back to work and not able to sleep again, the longest time period I can recall being able to sleep well was just a week then it was right back to my little insomnia parties, then I'll try doing what I did that week I was able to sleep just fine but it didn't work, right now I'm sleeping ok just for the simple fact that I'm off work, but when I go back tomorrow it'll be a different story, I never know how I'll be able to sleep, I'm usually surprised if I do end up falling asleep then being up all night and maybe dozing off for an hour or two

Ironically I discovered something for what I call rebound insomnia…… exercise called rebounding! Saw it on the dr.

show and it's suppose to have amazing health benefits and helping one sleep is one of the benefits. It's a mini trampoline and the exercise of jumping up and down is not only so easy but the aerobic benefits, the cleanising of your lymphatic system and 45 more benefits made bit a no brainer. 20 minutes a day in front of the tv is all that required. I've been sleeping pretty good now for several weeks with no OTC . I strongly recommend that everyone give this a try…….it also makes you feel so darn good when you're done.
