I know it is advised to only sleep/ sex in bed.
When I wake up in the morning, I like to stay there and rest for 20/30 minutes and meditate, doing body scan relaxation.
      Can it harm my sleep?

How’s your sleep? If you are seeing improvement, I don’t see why not. I’m in bed awake 10 – 15min after my alarm goes off.

If you cannot do Martin’s course, I recommend you keep reading this forum, listening to his podcast, and use the Veterans Administration free app called — CBT-i Coach. These things have helped me immensely. Good luck!

If you’re sleeping well and you have a strong association between your bed, sleep, and pleasant wakefulness then it’s unlikely that spending 20-30 minutes in bed to do some meditation or relaxation first thing in the morning is going to be harmful!

            Thanks.
Yes, my sleep has improved a lot, and I sleep very well now.
It does seem that staying awake at bed in the morning, meditating, doesnt disturb me.
