I get dreams that are repetitive, usually about a task. I awaken. Then have the same dream, awaken. This can go on for hours. They can be work related or something as simple as knitting stitches. Has anyone experienced this and found resolution? Thank you.

The good news is that if you are dreaming, you are sleeping. How long do you tend to spend awake between dreams? How much sleep are you getting on a typical night? Do you feel sleepy during the day?

I’ll start to fall asleep and drop into these very short, weird dreams, wake up for several minutes, start to fall asleep again and the cycle repeats. It happens quickly and can go on for hours. There’s almost a vertigo feeling to it, jolting to a waking state.  It happens a couple times a month. I get about 4 hours sleep on average and occasionally 6. Yes, sleepy and tired most days. I do not nap. Thank you for your interest and help.
