I'd rather like to get my hands on that drug 🙄
December 9, 2011 at 9:28 am #9231LOVE my Netflix subscription!! Don't know what I'd do without it and all the movies and series you can catch up with. Actually, I'm having a bout of insomnia right now, so I'm about to go watch my current disc.
February 7, 2012 at 6:59 am #9232I love movies soooooo much! Law Abiding Citizen was good. But I have to say I love the romantic movies. Love and Basketball is one of my all time favorit movies. I have so many movies my husband is getting mad at me. So now i have to start hiding them when i buy new ones or replace my regular DVDs with blu rays. 😀 He was also a little upset when he found out i accidently had three copies of Good Will Hunting (another good movie)

Maybe you should look into a Netflix subscription as a substitute for DVD purchases!!

February 7, 2012 at 10:06 pm #9234Hmmm, not been here for a while with movie chat and so on….
Netflix has finally hit the UK, and the great thing is I can use it on my Laptop/Netbook, my iPhone and also AppleTV! Pretty cool stuff, although the movie and TV selection is pretty rubbish currently…but I guess I shouldn't complain at £6 a month I guess. I shall keep it for a few months and see how it goes…hopefully it will get better, I hope so!
While I was in hospital a couple weeks ago, I fortunately had a couple movies on my iPhone! So over that time I watched The Prestige, The Dark Knight, Thor, Captain America and A Nightmare on Elm Street (I think there's a bit of a pattern there!!)
I was fortunate enough to see a preview screen of the highly acclaimed The Artist, highly recommended.
As for Netflix…I have seen…Hobo With A Shotgun, Endcall, Are You Scared?, My Soul To Take…really wish there were some decent superhero movies on there!!
February 8, 2012 at 2:05 am #9235I bet you have a permanent squint from watching movies on your iPhone!! I loved Hobo with a Shotgun! If you have the time, I reckon you might as well get a VPN to connect to the US version of Netflix – the library is probably a lot larger. Having said that, it still lacks many of the newer and more popular releases.

February 15, 2012 at 6:35 pm #9236I just watched The Machinist. Fucking loved it. It was strange in amazing ways.
February 16, 2012 at 12:09 am #9237Still watching movies on Netflix….but also bought some Canadian credit for iTunes and bought 10 movies for £40!
Recently watched Train, The Expendables, Iron Man, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Daredevil (Director's Cut), April Fools Day (Original), The Mask and Beauty And The Beast.
No cinema for me for a while, not well enough…in fact movies may well be totally off the menu for a while, we shall see.
February 16, 2012 at 1:00 am #9238Have recently watched Swedish version (with subtitles) of “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.” Have NOT seen the new American version. Has anyone seen both and found one to be better than the other?
February 16, 2012 at 6:59 pm #9239You're right Yam. No good movies in the next month or so.
But I'm looking forward to The Avengers, Battleship, The Hunger Games, John Carter, and of course The Hobbit.
Nice things to come!
February 16, 2012 at 7:50 pm #9240I find that my wife and I use Netflix to watch far more TV shows than movies these days – I just seem to struggle to find movies in their instant play catalogue that appeal to me.

March 14, 2012 at 10:09 am #9241I went to see 'One for the money' yesterday.
I love the Stephanie Plum books. Generally when watching a movie adapted from a book I get dissapointed.
In this case it was a pleasant surprise. They really captured the gist of the books.
I laughed a lot, so if you want funny, go and see it!
March 16, 2012 at 8:05 pm #9242Last night I watched 'Ironclad' on Netflix. It's about King John trying to exact revenge and repeal the Magna Carta after being forced to sign it during the rebellion. I thought it was well done – quite graphic, and they included the obligatory (and unnecessary) love interest into the story which was a little distracting. Overall, I'd recommend it – I am surprised I hadn't heard of it before.

March 21, 2012 at 10:32 am #9243I have just downloaded Immortals, I'll be watching that in the next few days.
I guess most people will be buzzing about The Hunger Games. Looks interesting, not read the books yet, so I'll be getting those and reading them before I see this movie.
As bizarre as this may sound, I've not been watching many movies! The last one I watched was Incideous, which is about a possessed child. I thought it was quite slow and in my humble opinion quite boring. Pity as I'd heard it wasn't too bad.

I really need to see this movie! I'll have to check for it on Netflix.

The originals are awesome, I don't want to see the American versions, I think it will ruin it.
