      Hello,

I have been suffering with insomnia for 2 years. In the beginning things wew very bad because I could go without sleep for days, but now my insomnia has improved. I’m not taking any medication, yet I can usually sleep over 5 hours with 1 hour of deep sleep according to my fitbit device.

However, for the past week I developed a new problem which I suspect is realated to my sleep depravition, but I’m not sure. I get body shakes which are perceptible when I stay still. It’s like somebody is pushing my head and back forward.

Did anybody experience similar simptoms from lack of sleep?

Welcome to the forum — and I am glad to hear that your sleep has improved. I wouldn’t pay too much attention to the stats given to you by your Fitbit. Unless the device is measuring brainwaves, it can’t accurately determine your individual sleep stages. What it can do, however, is make you worry more about your sleep if the data it displays makes you concerned.

I’ve not heard of body shakes as a result of insomnia. You could simply be noticing normal movement because you are paying a lot of attention to this. In any case, I think this is probably something you will want to discuss with your doctor.
