thanks martin, first off not really sure what brought my insomnia on, i thought it might be staying up later at night, eating too late in the evening, and putting on more weight. but ive been working on that and it seems like its helping.i have not looked into cbt, really my main issue at this point is chronic dry eye, red and painful eye issues. have others with insomnia had issues with there eyes too?

I know that eye health has a strong link to sleep health; but it's normally more to do with the amount (and type) of light we subject our eyes to. I've not heard of a link between sleep issues and dry eye or red eye. With that being said, if you're in pain then it's perhaps unsurprising that you find sleep difficult.
