      I started having sleep issues due to other health issue. Now, I have developed sleep anxiety. I have lost confidence sleeping without any external help even though I tend to wake up multiple times during the night. I feel anxious when I wake up and sometimes I can fall back to sleep other times not. It’s making me really anxious and depressed.
      Will CBT-I course will help me to get through this problem?

        The good news is, we don’t need sleep confidence for sleep to happen — just as we don’t need breathing confidence for breathing to happen 🙂

        If you feel that your current approach to wakefulness and the difficult thoughts and feelings that often come with it isn’t workable, you might find it helpful to explore a different approach.

        That might involve implementing CBT-I techniques, ACT techniques, or anything else that might help you move away from struggling with all this difficult stuff.

          Thank you for your reply. What course do I enrol ? And how long do you think will take me to get out this sleep issue?
          I am very keen to learn techniques and get out this rabbit hole.

              Does CBT-l and ACT techniques included in those 6 wk course? Or do I have to enrol differently ?
              Will I be able to stay in bed during whole sleep window or I will have to get out if I don’t fall asleep in 15minutes or so?

                My course includes both CBT and ACT coaching techniques (more of the latter). There’s no need to get out of bed during your sleep window if you don’t want to!
